Tom Johnson House, Dublin

TomJohnson House, Beggar's Bush, Dublin, recently underwent the largest energy-saving retrofit in the Republic of Ireland.

This energy-efficient office is now the Irish Government's Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications headquarters, responsible for the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors and one that regulates, protects, and develops Ireland's natural resources.

The1970s building is now also home to over 6,000m2 of high-end commercial carpet tiles. With a mix of standard and acoustic-backed tiles, these premium solutions are now installed throughout the impressive building, which is now an exemplar for transforming existing buildings for an energy efficient future.

For lasting protection and to prolong the life of floors throughout the building, each external entrance is also fitted with high quality aluminium entrance matting from Emco.

Special mention to the OPW, Duggans and Crean Contract Flooring who we proudly worked with on this outstanding project.
